Please have a look at discounted travel companies, and see if you can't save enough to manage to get where you need to go still yet. : )
Many of you have asked me how I get the inexpensive flights and rental cars I purchase. I feel generous today so I will tell you. The least
expensive flight I ever purchased was $8.00 + taxes and fees. Recently I flew to Orlando from Columbia for $38.00 + taxes and fees. How
do you do this? I do not travel when a ticket covering less than 600 miles is priced at $500.00 or more. I just refuse. I stay home. I
NEVER buy the first price I see advertized either. Well? Is this strategy 'brilliant' enough for you? I realize my methods have been
shrouded in mystery and mysticism : ) It feels good to finally get it all off of my chest.
Or in a few cases, I took a foreign language CD series or a good Hemingway novel on audio, and I drove for the pleasure of the scenery by
the ocean or through the mountains at 1/3 of the price of an airline ticket. (No baggage restrictions, no one is banging around on your golf clubs
if you have managed to place them in the trunk anticipating a few hours after business for 9 - 18, no one is talking to you about their recent
herniated disk operation in the seat beside you which you are packed into like a sardine, and no unhappy little stressed-out tired babies are
screaming into your ear causing you a migraine for the meeting you are traveling to attend.) When gas prices are moderate and you have the keys
to a Prius at about 50 miles per gallon - drive Baybeeee, drive!! Time management skills will have you speaking better French, German,
Spanish or Russian upon arrival to your chosen workplace destination. : ) That, or perhaps you will have those literary answers to show off with in front
of your friends the next time you watch Jeopardy. On this page are a few possibilities for you to investigate.
I have actually rented cars for $10.00 per day or less. Depending on the city - cars are sometimes rented for $6.95 a day!!!!
This is lower than the monthly payment on some of our purchased cars, and there is no depreciation to us. I just have to tell you that there is nothing like
the feeling of walking away with keys in hand to a clean, well-maintained, and often low-mileage newer vehicle, and paying so little. I feel badly for the
people right beside me paying $30.00 - $60.00 a day when their car looked a bit shabby and I might have been in a new Cherokee, Spyder
convertible, or light blue Mustang. It pays to investigate your travel service vendors and shop around. When it comes to any travel service, I do not
have in mind a marketplace with absolute prices for the service - I think in terms of negotiable bazaar, and this helps me to find the best prices to
ease the bottom-line. I hope this information encourages you to be crafty in your travel plans, without spending too much - and thereby avoiding
having to stay at home for fear of overspending on your mobility activities. I have no particular travel company to recommend to you - I go for the
standard of service I need, at the lowest price for that particular hour - and yes - some travel deals change within 15 minutes of being offered so if you have in
mind exactly what you are looking for when such rock-bottom prices are advertised - you can purchase immediately and in some cases save hundreds of dollars.
